John E. Lux

Education

High School

John went to Admiral Farragut Academy in junior high school where he had top grades and was a member of the drill team. He earned extra money by working as a waiter.
He graduated high school at Sanford Prep School.
John was a varsity football player as defensive end and Co-Captain of the wrestling team. He got the award for best wrestler. 
John was President of the Senior Class. 
John was a dorm proctor for eight elementary school boys at the school.
He won top honors for his grades and many awards, including the Balfour Science Award and 100 Point Man Award (best all-around male student), He was a member of the National Honor Society.
He also edited the year book.

College

John attended Purdue University and got his B.S. in Business Statistics with honors from the New York University School of Business and Public Administration, now called the Stern School of Business. He was on the Dean's List every semester. 
He was Vice President of the Society for the Advancement of Management.
He was chosen for a special seminar with Gus Levy, Chairman of the New York Stock Exchange and Senior Partner of Goldman, Sachs.

Law School

John graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law, getting a Juris Doctor degree with honors.
He worked on the Law Review and participated in moot court competition.
He wrote an article for the Law Review and was appointed Assistant Editor.
John was law clerk for Maryland Circuit Court Judge Harry E. Dwyer, Jr. just before the Judge's retirement. 
John was appointed by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Maryland to work as a special court appointed assistant to the bankruptcy receiver in Maryland's largest personal bankruptcy. John assisted in complex matters involving real estate, securities, bankruptcy, corporate and tax law.
Professional Training John formerly held the following licenses in the brokerage business: registered representative, general principal, financial principal, options, principal, municipal bond principal, and introducing broker for futures.
John has attended numerous continuing education programs including programs on institutional trading, international economic development and project finance, real estate and offshore taxations.
