John has been
active in politics in both major parties. He uses his statistical skills
to do research and his interpersonal skills in campaigning. |

He assisted with
the McGovern campaign for President in 1967. His opinion polls correctly
predicted every significant event in that race. |

John assisted with
a Congressional campaign in Maryland in 1973. |
|
In 1975, he was
District Leader for a Senate race in Maryland. |
|
He was also a
delegate to the Young Democrats of Maryland. |
